Care Quality Commission
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) are the independent regulator of health and social care in England and make sure that these services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate and high quality care and encourage them to improve.
The CQC monitor and inspect services and make sure they meet the fundamental standards of quality and safety and publish their results to help people choose care.
We would like to thank every one of our staff for their hard work before, during and after the visit – it was a stressful day for all involved. It is pleasing to know that all the work that goes on behind the scenes, as well as front of house, has paid off and that Swallowfield is rated as a safe, caring and effective surgery.
A huge thank you also to our PPG, especially those members who were interviewed either in person or by phone and also thanks to our patients – many of whom completed feedback cards or were spoken to by the inspectors on the day. The feedback received was very positive. We know we are not perfect but we do try our hardest to provide our patients with the best care and service possible and we all appreciate your support.
