Medical reports/examinations can be completed for a wide range of purposes e.g. HGV/Taxi medicals, Fitness to etc.. These are generally not available on the NHS and need to be paid for at the time of booking. As the appointment length and costs vary, please contact reception on 01189 769604 or come in to make an enquiry. Please avoid busy times such as 08:30–10:00 to avoid having to wait to get through or waiting to be seen. Payments can be taken over the phone, however we reserve the right to ask for additional payment if the wrong type of appointment is made. We recommend you bring the form in before the appointment to ensure the correct advice and appointment is given, and the correct fee is paid. Any appointments cancelled at short notice (under 48 hours) or medicals not undertaken due to the incorrect length or refusal to pay any additional fee will incur an administrative fee equivalent to 50% of the original payment made or £25.00 whichever is the greater.
Unless a Government Department has an agreement with the NHS or we have a contract with a third party e.g. employer, you will need to pay for any medicals and/or reports they request and, if appropriate, claim any monies back. A receipt is available either at the time of booking or when you visit the practice and receive the service.
