Children under 5yrs

www.childhealthberkshirewest.nhs.uk

A guide for parents and carers of children under five.

Children may seem unwell for a variety of reasons and sometimes all you need is some medical advice to help you to decide what care is best for them.

The Berkshire West Clinical Commissioning Groups have commissioned http://www.wokinghamlscb.org.uk/ - a website that puts the right information at your fingertips.

It is easy to use and available in the four languages most used in Berkshire West; English, Urdu, Polish and Punjabi. The website offers onscreen advice for the most common childhood illnesses most likely to affect a child under five. There is also an audio assistant in both English and Polish.

So, if you’ve ever been awake in the middle of the night with a sick child and not sure what the matter is, or you recognise your child’s symptoms and just want some reassurance that you are providing the right care, then go to the Berkshire West Common Childhood Illnesses website for immediate advice.

The Berkshire Child Health App

A new app has been created with advice on a wide range of common childhood illnesses.
